2024 Celebration Service

Devonport Christian School is excited to gather as a community for our 2024 Kinder to Year 8 Celebration Service.

Our Celebration Service will be held at the paranaple centre, 6:30pm Wednesday 4th December.  Market Square will be available for families to bring a picnic and socialise from 5:00pm onwards. Doors to the paranaple centre will open at 6:10pm and students will need to be seated by 6:20pm.

Our Celebration Service is a wonderful evening where we have the opportunity to reflect on the past year, praise and worship God for His amazing goodness to our school and celebrate our students and staff. Students from Kinder, Prep, Year 3/4, Year 6 and selected Secondary students will perform on stage on the night, with other classes being featured in some amazing video presentations.

Tickets are now available through our online booking system. 

To secure your tickets, please indicate on the online order form how many tickets you would like for your immediate family. This form will be the only way tickets can be secured. There is no cost for tickets, but as there is limited seating, a ticket will be required for entry to the paranaple centre. At this stage families are able to reserve up to four tickets for the evening. 

Please note - tickets are not required for current DCS staff and students.

Some important information:

• Doors open at 6:10pm
• Students to be seated in the paranaple centre or allocated room by 6.20pm
• Students in Prep-Year 8 are to wear their formal school uniform
• Kinder students wear their sports uniform

Please look out for a Schoolbox post next Monday with information on where your child needs to gather at the beginning of the evening.

Public Holiday

School will be closed on Friday 29th November for the Devonport Show public holiday.

Salvation Army Christmas Appeal

This Christmas DCS is partnering with The Salvation Army to “Give a new beginning this Christmas” and host a food drive. It’s a wonderful way for us to join together as DCS Community  to bless Devonport, and shine our light on those doing it tough.

It is as easy as adding something extra to your grocery list to bless another family. These items can be brought into the Front Office from Wednesday 27th November up until the 10th of December. Please refer to the shopping list for suitable items. 

We are looking forward to spreading Hope this Christmas.

Updating Contact Information

Have you checked out our Parent Lounge online portal? 

Parent Lounge is a place where you can view and update student and family details, absences and medical information, as well as being able to book Parent Teacher interview times! Additional features will be introduced in the future.

Kinder Enrolments 2025 @ Leighland Christian School

Our DCS Kinder orientation sessions for 2025 are well underway, with our final Orientation session happening next Tuesday 12th of November. 

With DCS 2025 Kinder places all allocated, we would like to encourage anyone who is looking for a Kinder place for 2025 to visit our friends at Leighland Christian School in Ulverstone. Just a short 10 minute drive from DCS, Leighland still have spaces available for Kinder 2025. If you have friends or know of families who are looking for a Kinder place for 2025, we encourage you to pass on Leighland's information. 

Early Learning

At DCS we offer two fun and friendly Early Learning programmes.  Further information is included below. Come along and connect with others over a delicious hot drink while your children play.  

Little Sprouts

Little Sprouts is a hands-on nature-based playgroup for children aged 3 and 4 years and is held every Thursday from 8:45am - 10:30am, during school terms. Gather together in the Kinder room and we will then move across to the garden area.  Our final Little Sprouts session for 2024 will be held on Thursday 5th December.

Jiloa Juniors

Jiloa Juniors is held every Friday from 8:45am - 10:45am, during school terms, and is for children from birth to 5 years with their carers.  Jiloa Juniors is held in the Kinder area.  Our final Jiloa Juniors session for 2024 will be held on Friday 6th December.
