Dear Families,
So many wonderful events have taken place at St Therese's over the last few weeks and they have kept us so busy. I apologise for the fact that we are a little overdue for a newsletter.
Congratulations to Naomi, Grade 6, for being awarded the Sr Mildred and Sr Marcelin ward. This recognises the contribution the Jospehite Sisters have made in the Diocese of Sale. Sr Mildred and Sr Marcellin were the first Josephites to set up a school in the Diocese at St Michael's Primary School, Traralgon. Naomi was nominated as she consistently demonstrates inclusivity and respect amongst her peers and teachers within the school community. She is a compassionate student who demonstrates kindness and helps her peers when they are in need. As a Social Justice leader and FIRE Carrier, she serves our school community and is dedicated to all the tasks she undertakes.

Last week our Environmental Leaders arranged a coloured clothes day for World Ocean Day. Students were encouraged to dress with an ocean theme or wear something blue, the gold coin donations going to support the work of the Dolphin Research Institute who run the i sea i care program that our leaders are a part of. Activities around the school highlighted the importance of protecting our ocean environment and our leaders should be commended for the great work that they are doing.

NCCD - Nationally Consistent Collection of Data
The Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD) takes place every year. The NCCD is a collection that counts:
We are currently auditing our data to ensure that we have our list and evidence ready for the August census.
Information regarding the NCCD can be found in the information sheet attached.
Canteen Update
Our canteen days are changing! From Term 3, lunch orders can be placed for Mondays and Fridays. Please note - we are still using Flexischools for lunch orders, they should not be placed over the counter. The canteen will not be open in Week 10 - don't forget to pack your child's lunch if they usually have a lunch order!

We are still seeking volunteers to assist Mrs Beshara. If you are able to help out, please email Emma Davies or complete the google form. You don't even need to commit to a full morning, if you're free between 9.30 and 11 or 12.30 and 2, please let us know!
Enrolments 2027
If you have a little person due to start school next year, our enrolment packs are ready. If you have friends or family members looking for a primary school, please encourage them to come and visit us. Whilst our open day has been and gone, families are most welcome to book a tour with me. Interviews are well underway and I am enjoying meeting the little people who will join our community as the Foundation Class of 2027.
Kind Regards,
Felicity Broughton
