Years 7-8
Term Highlights – Sam & Mason
A Term Full of Fun, New Experiences and Great Memories!
What a term it has been! With plenty happening around the college, there have been so many opportunities to get involved, try something new and, most importantly, have some fun along the way.
🏀 Interschool Sport
One of the highlights of the term has definitely been Interschool Sport. Basketball and table tennis were particular favourites, giving us the chance to get active, represent the college and compete against students from other schools. The atmosphere was fantastic, and it was great to see so many students getting involved, supporting their teams and enjoying the experience.
📚 Book Week
Book Week was another standout! It was great to see students and staff getting into the spirit of the week and embracing the opportunity to dress up as their favourite characters. There were plenty of creative costumes, and some of the teachers definitely surprised us with how seriously they took their outfits!
🏐 The New Volleyball Court
The new volleyball court has also been a huge hit this term! It has quickly become one of the most popular spots around the college, with so many students heading there during recess and lunchtime to play, practise their skills and spend time with friends.
There always seems to be a game happening, making it a great new addition to the college.
👩🍳 Cooking in the New Food Tech Rooms
We also had the opportunity to use the new Food Technology rooms this term, and they have been a fantastic upgrade! Having access to these new facilities has made our practical cooking lessons even more enjoyable, giving us a great space to learn new skills, work together and, of course, enjoy the food we create.
🔬 Hands-On Science
Science has also been a highlight, with lots of exciting experiments and hands-on activities taking place throughout the term. Getting out of the textbook and actually putting what we learn into practice has made our science lessons much more engaging and fun.
⛸️ End of Term Celebration Excursion
One of the biggest highlights of the term was our End of Term Celebration Excursion to Docklands. It was the perfect way to finish off a busy term, with students enjoying time at the arcade and taking to the ice for some ice skating.
It was a great opportunity to relax, spend time with friends and celebrate everything we had achieved throughout the term. There were plenty of laughs, some impressive skating skills… and a few very memorable moments on the ice!
🌟 Looking Back on the Term
Overall, it has been a fantastic term filled with new experiences, exciting activities and plenty of opportunities to connect with friends and the wider college community. From sport and Book Week to cooking, science and our celebration excursion, there has certainly been no shortage of things to get involved in.
It has been a busy and memorable term — and while we’ve loved every minute of it, we’re definitely ready for the holidays! 🎉
