Book Week Dress Up Day
Book week commences the week of the 24th August. The theme this year is “Symphony of Stories”. On Monday 24th August, we kick off Book Week celebrations with our usual Dress Up Day.
Students are encouraged to come to school dressed as a book character or something book related. There will be a special parade held at Assembly where classes will get a chance to come on the stage to share their costumes.
Book Week continues the school’s highlighting of rich literature and love of reading. Students will be able to connect with their favourite book, read it again and recommend it to others. We look forward to students and staff dressing up as their favourite book characters on Monday.
Room 15 Assemby Presentation
We used the text, ‘Refugees’ by David Miller as our most recent ‘Reading to Write.’ Please enjoy the writing the kids did using the pattern of the author, and their collage artwork – completed with the help of the Room 15 Mums!
Father's Day Stall
On Wednesday 2nd September we will hold our annual Father's Day Stall where students have the opportunity to purchase an item from the stall for a significant male person in their life. All gifts are $10 each.
Payment envelopes will go home tomorrow with students and are to be returned by Monday 31st of August. To run the stall we need your help. If you have an hour or two please add your name to the volunteers sheet below.
