Dear Parents,
So much success and many celebrations in the last week to end a wonderful Term 1 at Bathurst Public School. Congratulations and well done to all of our children on a wonderful term of work. Thank you to our parents and families for their continued support of our school. And a special thank you to the outstanding and dedicated staff who all go above and beyond with the work they do for our children everyday. Thank you, all.
We had a hugely successful K-2 Easter Hat Parade on Tuesday. The children loved parading their Easter Hats and showing all of our parents and friends the Easter dances we have learnt. Thank you to our entire school community who not only supported us on the day, but purchased Easter Raffle Tickets. We had 65 prizes that were donated by our very generous children, parents and friends. Congratulations to everyone who won a prize in the raffle. The Easter Egg Raffle made $2283.00 which will be used in Term 3 to subsidise the cost of the Be Skilled Be Fit Commonwealth Games Day for every child K-6. A very big thank you to the K-2 staff who have spent many hours preparing the children for this terrific event.

The BPS team had a terrific day and were supported well by their coach Ms Reedy. Congratulations to the team on their preparation and sportsmanship.

General Reminders:-
- Food Allergies - We do have several children at our school who have peanut allergies and have severe reactions if exposed to this food. Parents are asked to be mindful of this when packing recess and lunch and are encouraged not to send products which contain nuts in them to school.
- All items of clothing and personal belongings should be clearly marked with your child’s name.
- All children require a broad brimmed hat each day as our school has a “No Hat, No Play” policy.
- All gates around our school are kept closed during the day. This is a to ensure our children and staff are able to learn and play in a safe and happy environment. When parents and friends come to the school during the day, please come to the gate in George street and press the buzzer. The office staff will then open the gate. Please ensure you QR code in (QR code on the gate area). All parents and visitors should present to the front office on arrival. This is a Legal and Workplace Safety requirement and is followed for the safety and security of all children and staff.
We wish all of our families a wonderful Easter and a happy and safe vacation period.
School resumes for all children on Wednesday 22nd April at 9am.
