A message from the Principal

As we reach the end of what has been an incredibly full and rewarding Term 1, it is wonderful to reflect on the many opportunities our students have had to learn, connect and celebrate together.

We were delighted to welcome our Foundation students as they began their school journey at SKiPPS. It has been a joy to see how quickly they have settled in, building confidence, forming friendships and embracing all that school life has to offer.

Throughout the term, our students have participated in a wide range of experiences beyond the classroom. Highlights have included the Year 3–6 swimming trials, our much-loved Jazz in the Park community event, and a series of information sessions across all year levels. Parent/Teacher interviews also provided a valuable opportunity for families and staff to connect and discuss student progress and goals.

Our Year 6 students demonstrated wonderful leadership during their involvement in Clean Up Australia Day, and we captured many smiles during our annual school photos. A standout event this term was our school fete, which was a tremendous success and a true celebration of our vibrant community.

Harmony Week was another special highlight, with students engaging in meaningful activities that celebrated diversity, inclusion and respect. We look forward to finishing the term on a high with our annual Athletics Day, always a fantastic display of participation, teamwork and school spirit.

This term has certainly been jam-packed, and it is these shared experiences that contribute so strongly to the positive culture we value at SKiPPS. I would like to sincerely thank our staff, students and families for their ongoing support, enthusiasm and willingness to contribute to the many events and opportunities offered throughout the term.

As we head into the Easter break, I hope all members of our community enjoy a well-deserved rest and time with family and friends.

I look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 2 on Monday 20 April.
