Primary Combined Mass

- The Presentation of Mary

This Friday, our Primary classes will come together for a combined Mass with the feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Each class has one or two students taking part in the Mass either leading readings and other ministries. The Mass will be held on Friday, 21 November at 9:30am in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. All families are warmly invited to attend and join us in giving thanks.

Year 10 at Copeton Dam

Next week, our Year 10 students will travel to Copeton Dam for their annual retreat. The theme, “Shine Your Light” was chosen by the students themselves and will guide their reflections and activities over the two days. The days are being lead by Emily from the De La Salle Team in Sydney.

Students will explore what it means to shine as leaders within our school and the community, especially as they prepare to step into Year 11 at HTS in 2026. Through group challenges, affirmations, and creative reflections, they’ll discover their personal gifts, how to use them courageously, and how to lift others up.

We ask you to keep these young leaders in your prayers as they grow in confidence, compassion, and faith, returning ready to lead and shine their light for others.

Year 10 Students Soon To Be On Pilgrimage to ACYF!

Next weekend, 11 of our Year 10 students, accompanied by Mrs Guest and Mr Baldwin, will embark on a special pilgrimage to the Australian Catholic Youth Festival (ACYF) in Melbourne. This year’s Festival theme, “Pilgrims of Hope”, calls young people to journey with faith, vision, and courage - seeking renewal and sharing God’s love in our world.

From Saturday 29 November to Wednesday 3 December, our students will travel from Armidale to Melbourne, joining thousands of young Catholics from across the nation for three days of prayer, worship, music, and inspiring speakers. Along with being a time to grow in faith, ACYF is a powerful reminder that our young people are not only leaders of tomorrow, but strong witnesses of hope today.

In the spirit of pilgrimage, we ask our school community to keep them in your prayers: that they travel safely, grow spiritually, and return inspired and filled with God’s grace.

A Prayer for Our Pilgrims

Loving God,

as our students set out on this journey of faith, may they walk with open hearts and minds, ready to hear your voice and feel your presence.

Guide their steps, bless their experiences, and deepen their hope in You. May they return renewed, inspired, and filled with your Spirit, ready to share what they have received with our school community.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Let us continue to support them with our prayers and encouragement as, together, we journey as Pilgrims of Hope.

Festive Food Drop

Each year, Holy Trinity supports our local St Vincent de Paul Society by donating money and food items so they can assist families in need within our community. As part of this effort, we are inviting families to contribute non-perishable festive food items that will be included in Christmas hampers distributed to local families who need a helping hand.

We warmly encourage your generous donations over the coming weeks. These items will be presented to St Vincent de Paul during our Thanksgiving Mass on Thursday, 11 December at 9:15am.

From next week, families are welcome to bring donations to their child’s classroom. Thank you for your kindness and support in helping make a difference this Christmas.
