Australian Teacher Aide Appreciation Week 2024

What is a Teacher Aide/Assistant? It is someone who can be:

understanding, friendly, patient, sensitive, empathetic, creative, responsive, encouraging, positive, committed, comforting, funny, caring, supportive, knowledgeable, respectful, unique, professional, welcoming, contributing, helpful, enthusiastic, hardworking, reliable, trained, calm, flexible, motivating, insightful, practical, loving, active, goal-oriented, kind, considerate, thoughtful, concerned, resourceful, imaginative, pleasant, co-operative, reassuring, hopeful, fun ….and SIMPLY AMAZING!!

This week is Australian Teacher Aide Appreciation Week and we want to take this opportunity to thank those people who work alongside teachers at SCC to support our students.

Swimming Program - Friday Water Safety Lesson

Students are required to bring a t-shirt and shorts to the Friday water safety lesson.

Swim Caps for Primary Swimming Program

All students are required to have a swim cap. Coloured swim caps in house colours are available through the SCC uniform shop.

Open Week

Southern Christian College is hosting an Open Week from Monday 16 September to Friday 20 September, with various tours throughout the week.

Interested prospective parents may register below for any of the tours we are offering.

Please share information about our school with your friends. We welcome all parents to discover our Early Learning to Year 12 Christ-centred, quality education that equips students for life at school and beyond.

Year 7 Information Evening 2025

SCC is hosting a Year 7 Information Evening on Tuesday 17 September from 6pm. We welcome all our current Year 6 parents to hear about our secondary offering, and the evening is open to all families exploring secondary schools options.

Connections Café Canteen - This week!

The next school canteen will be held this Friday 6 September. Our menu this month includes: 

• Mini pizzas (pepperoni & cheese; ham & cheese; BBQ chicken)
• Chicken tenders x 3
• Chocolate coconut slice
• Choice of Nippy's iced chocolate or iced strawberry milk.
