From The Principal

Stephen Arthurson

Dear Families,

I hope that all our Mums had a wonderful day on Sunday. As we saw at school on Friday morning, the bond between mothers and children plays out in so many different ways, but at the heart of it is unconditional love. Our Mothers’ Morning has become an annual highlight on the St Anne’s calendar, and it was wonderful to see so many Mums (and other special women) coming along to enjoy each other’s company.

A huge thanks to:

  • the St Anne’s staff who organised the Mothers’ Morning
  • the parents who helped with the Mother’s Day Stall
  • our wonderful choir who serenaded us on the morning
  • Ms Spiteri, Cooper and Chelsea for their amazing solo performances
  • our wonderful Mums for coming along with your smiles

I’d particularly like us to keep in our thoughts and prayers those Mums in our community who may be experiencing health challenges at this time. May they find strength in those around them who love them most.

Sacrament of Confirmation

  • Please keep our Y6 Confirmation candidates in your prayers as they continue preparation to receive the Gifts of the Holy Spirit at St Patrick’s Cathedral on June 1st.
  • As part of this preparation the Y6 students will meet our new Bishop Rene Ramirez on Wednesday 28th May. I was fortunate enough to hear Bishop Rene share some of his life story at the MACS Catholic Imagination Formation session on Wednesday evening. He spoke about some of the adversities he had faced in his life, and how the idea of hope was central to the way he navigated these challenges. We look forward to meeting Bishop Rene in a couple of weeks.
