St Patrick's Feast Day
Today we celebrate the Feast of St Patrick, one of the Church’s most beloved saints and the patron saint of Ireland. St Patrick is remembered not only for bringing the message of Jesus to the people of Ireland, but also for doing it with courage, kindness, and a deep trust in God.
At school, we take inspiration from St Patrick’s simple but powerful way of teaching. Just as he used the three leaves of the shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity, he reminds us that faith can be shared through everyday things and small acts of love.
As we mark this feast day, we invite our school community to reflect on how they can be a light for others—through friendship, generosity, and choosing what is right. May St Patrick guide our school community to walk with hope and joy in all we do.
St. Patrick's Prayer; Breastplate (Lorica)
Christ with me,
Christ before me,
Christ behind me,
Christ in me,
Christ beneath me,
Christ above me,
Christ on my right,
Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down,
Christ when I sit down,
Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.
