Giant Dofleini Octopus - Sea of Japan
Dear St John's Community,
What a great day we had for the School Athletics Day! The sun was shining, the track was fast, Mr O was in fine form, and the spirit of the St John’s community was on full display. It was wonderful to see our students from Prep through to Year 6 cheering each other on, displaying wonderful sportsmanship, and pushing themselves to achieve their very best.
Throughout the day, we witnessed a number of personal bests, good sportsmanship and enthusiasm.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and especially to the parents who helped out with the BBQ lunch and icy poles, the set up and take down of the day as well. It's very much appreciated!
I also want to thank the parents and relatives who attended. It was the biggest audience we've had since I've been at St John's. The kids loved having you there and I'm sure your engagement inspired a number of personal bests as well!
Days like today remind me why our St John’s community is so special. It’s not just about who crosses the line first, but about the encouragement, the laughter, and the shared memories we make together.
Congratulations to Walsh House (Blue) on a closely fought victory!

Please continue to remember our Reconciliation Sacrament Candidates in your prayers.
Dear God,
We lift up to You these precious children who are preparing to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time. Fill their hearts with Your peace and love as they take this important step in their journey of faith.
Guide their minds and hearts as they examine their conscience.
Grant them the courage to be honest and the humility to seek forgiveness.
Strengthen them with the grace of this sacrament, that they may grow closer to You and strive to live a life of goodness and virtue.
Bless their families and staff who have supported and prepared them for this sacred moment.
May they continue to nurture these young souls in faith, hope, and love.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

The Jaguars are looking for new members, especially in the junior levels (Prep & Grade 1) and under 12s. If you're interested, contact them through the email listed below.

It's wonderful to see more children riding to school, there are just a few safety things I want to flag that have come up in recent weeks.
Please ensure your child knows and understands the road rules. We almost had an accident last week when a student rode onto the road from between two trucks into the path of an oncoming vehicle. Luckily, they were doing the 40km speed limit otherwise it might have been a terrible accident.
Children must have the proper safety equipment, i.e. a proper fitting helmet.
Bikes and scooters are not to be ridden while on school playgrounds or paths.

Yikes, my beloved Blues in the first game!...Thankfully, yesterday was better!
