Principal's message

St Monica's is a child-safe school.

We promote the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all students.

After an action-packed 5/6 camp in Anglesea last week, one thing has become very clear… the importance of a good night’s sleep!

Camp was full of adventure, laughter, late-night chats and a little less actual sleeping than usual!  A highlight of the camp was the surfing experience. For many students, this was a completely new skill, but they embraced the challenge with determination and grit. It was fantastic to see so many students persist, support one another, and experience the success of standing up on the board. Most importantly, all students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the opportunity to try something new.

While the memories made were absolutely worth it, many of our students returned just a little more tired than usual — and maybe a bit slower to unpack their bags!

Sleep plays a huge role in helping our bodies recover, our minds refocus, and our moods stay positive.   So if your child seems extra sleepy this week, you’re not alone — a few early nights and some quiet downtime will work wonders.

Thank you to our staff who attended to ensure a great time was had by all — a true superpower. Additionally, thanks to the St Monica's staff who remained at school to ensure a calm and settled environment for learning!

Ride to School Day

It was great to see so many students participating in Ride to School Day by riding, scooting or walking to school. The enthusiasm and involvement were fantastic, promoting healthy habits and an active start to the day. Well done to everyone who took part!

A huge thank you to Corey from Vicotria Police SOLO, who came to show the motorbike, interact with the students and discuss road laws and safety with our school community.  Thank You!
