PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Kindness and Respect
In a world currently facing significant turmoil, Jesus’ message—to treat others as you would like to be treated—is more relevant and necessary than ever. We often speak about using kind words and actions.
I commend many students who consistently show kindness and respect to everyone they interact with. Thank you also to our families for partnering with us to instill these vital values in our children.
Community Representation
A huge thank you to Keira, Isaac, and Daniel, who joined me in representing St Joseph's Warialda at the annual Legacy Luncheon last Sunday. They engaged thoughtfully with the Legatees at our table and represented our school with immense pride.
Saturday 25 April is ANZAC Day. St Joseph's Warialda will take part in the annual ANZAC Day Parade, and we welcome all students to walk with us. Please join us for this significant day of remembrance.
Note: Monday 27 April is a public holiday, and the school will be closed.
Well Done, Year 3 and 5!
A huge thank you and well done to our Year 3 and 5 students who have completed their NAPLAN (National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy) over the past two weeks.
I was very impressed by how you all remained focused and calm throughout the process. We look forward to receiving the feedback from these assessments to help further support our teaching and learning programs.
Our Learning Environment
In our last newsletter, I shared information regarding our uninterrupted English Block.
In addition to this focus on literacy, we also have dedicated, protected time for Mathematics and Religious Education.
Our school is well-positioned across all other curriculum areas, ensuring a balanced and rigorous academic experience for every student.
We are incredibly fortunate to have a talented team of skilled, helpful adults leading these areas:
- Mrs Moxey: Science & Technology
- Mrs Whalan: Language
- Miss Perrin: Creative Arts
- Mrs Riley: Human Society and Its Environment (HSIE)
Mr Paton: Leader of Pedagogy and Mathematics Specialist Teacher
Be sure to ask your child what they have been learning about in class!
