Congratulations Jackson

A huge congratulations to Jackson Mallon who has been selected to take part in the Armidale Catholic Schools 'Newton Navigators' mathematics enrichment program. It is a virtual classroom designed specifically for talented Stage 3 students across Armidale Catholic Schools. It is an extension program, meaning it focuses on enrichment material and mathematical concepts that go beyond the standard curriculum.

Students as Authors Writing Competition

Students are encouraged to enter the 2026 Armidale Catholic Schools Students as Authors Competition. As entries are due at the end of the school holiday period, Friday 17th April, this is a great way for students to keep themselves busy during the holidays and practise their writing skills. To access the entry form, students need to be logged in to their school account (i.e., name@armstu.catholic.edu.au). Please contact Mrs Holland if you have any questions.

Crunch & Learn

‘Crunch & Learn’ is a time at the beginning of the school day where students have the opportunity to eat an extra serve of fruit or vegetables to support good health and help with learning.

Students simply bring a piece of fruit or serve of vegetables into the classroom to eat during the morning session, while continuing with their regular routine.

Please send your child to school each day with an extra piece of fruit or serve of vegetables to eat in the classroom.  Something that can be easily taken into the room and eaten without causing too much mess is ideal, for example:

  • An apple or banana
  • Carrot or celery sticks
  • A small container of sugar snap peas, cherry tomatoes, grapes, strawberries, cucumber or capsicum sticks, broccoli bits or chopped melon.

Please don’t send fruit or vegetable products (e.g. dried fruit, fruit straps, popcorn, fruit or vegetable breads), fruit in syrup or jelly or with artificial sweeteners, flavoured or marinated  vegetables.  Thank you for your supporting Crunch & Learn at St Joseph’s.
