Prayer for Holy Week
Lord, let everything I do in the coming Holy Week be inspired by You.
Help me to remember that nothing is important in my life unless it glorifies You in some way. It’s so easy to get caught up in the day to day of my life.
Help me to enter fully into your Passion through my Lenten promises and always be reminded that You went to the desert, the garden and the cross for me.
Amen
Yesterday, we celebrated Palm Sunday, marking the beginning of the most solemn and beautiful week in our Church calendar—Holy Week. Today in our classrooms, we will remember Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, where crowds waved palm branches and laid down their cloaks to welcome Him.
We have been reflecting on what it means to truly welcome Jesus into our own hearts today. Just as the people of Jerusalem shouted "Hosanna," we are invited to start this week with praise and excitement, while also preparing our spirits for the quiet reflection of Good Friday and the great joy of Easter Sunday. We encourage all our families to join our parish this Holy Week.
Holy Thursday - 6pm
Good Friday, Stations of the Cross - 9am, The Lord's Passion - 3pm
Holy Saturday Easter Vigil - 5:30pm
Easter Sunday - 9am & 5pm
As we approach the end of Lent, we kindly ask all families to please return their Project Compassion boxes to the front office by tomorrow, Tuesday 31st March. Your incredible generosity throughout this season has been heartwarming to witness, and every donation—no matter how small—goes directly to Caritas Australia to support families and communities facing extreme poverty. Thank you for your continued support in helping our students live out the values of compassion and social justice; together, we are truly making a difference for those less fortunate than ourselves.

If you are interested in becoming an Altar Server, are Catholic and have made your First Eucharist please contact the Parish.

We would love to see you at this afternoon's Art Show Exhibition! Thank you to the students who entered - what talent we have here at St Joseph's School. Winners announced at Wednesday's Easter Hat Parade and will feature in next term's newsletter. Thank you to Mr Darryl Martin and Mrs Renee Dunst from the Mission Team at the Armidale Catholic Schools Office for judging the artworks.

We have been invited to participate in one of the most significant liturgical events in the Diocese of Armidale, Chrism Mass. The School captains and Mrs Mitchell will travel to Armidale tomorrow with the students from St Nicholas School.
Congratulations to everyone who entered our Easter Colouring Competition. Winners are on display at today's Art Show Exhibition.
