School Council

Update on School Council Elections

I wish to congratulate parents Sarah Keenan, Liam Gaunt, Stephen Fuller, Anton Freischmidt, Ben Houkamau, and Brett Fairbank on their successful nomination to the 2026 NLPS School Council.

I would also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our outgoing parent council members, Steph Viljoen, Denise Fry, and Dean Marshall, for their significant commitment and dedicated service over an extended period. Their individual and collective contributions to the Council have been greatly valued and deeply appreciated.

Congratulations also to Heidi James on her successful nomination as the DET staff representative, and a sincere thank you to Priscilla Patterson for her service as the outgoing staff representative.

These members will join Mathew Williamson (DET), Leah Campbell, Joseph Cavallaro, and myself, to form the 2026 NLPS Council. Our first Council meeting will be on Tuesday 10th March when we will elect the various office bearers and subcommittee chairs. Further communication regarding these appointments will be provided following that meeting.

We look forward to another highly productive year of collaboration, engagement, and effective governance of our wonderful school.
