Kitchen Garden Update 🌱
Students have been busy in the Kitchen Garden preparing garden beds for the new growing season. We have focused on getting the garden ready for new seeds and seedlings, learning about the importance of care and preparation in successful gardening.
This term, students planted a variety of vegetables and herbs, including corn, tomatoes, and cucumbers. As part of our learning, we discussed companion planting and how certain plants can support each other’s growth and help deter pests naturally. These lessons helped students develop an understanding of sustainable gardening practices and how food is grown.
Students are showing great enthusiasm and responsibility as they care for the garden, and we are looking forward to harvesting our produce and using it in upcoming cooking sessions.
