Exams

YEAR 10

All Year 10 students will sit exams during Week 8 of Term 4 (25-29 November). These exams are compulsory and allow teachers to assess what has been learnt over the semester as well as a valuable opportunity for students to practice and prepare for VCE. For students undertaking a Unit 2 subject, exams will take place in Week 7. Students will be exempt from attending Year 10 classes on the day of their Unit 2 exam. Two study skills sessions will be held in Weeks 6 and 7 of this term to help students prepare for their exams. These sessions are opt-in, and all Year 10 students are encouraged to attend. Further information regarding exams will be provided closer to the date.

YEAR 9

All Year 9 students will complete two exams: Mathematics and English. They will cover the content students have learnt throughout the year. The teachers will be helping students prepare over the coming weeks with advice, resources and practice questions. The exams are compulsory.

Unit 1+2 Kickstart program

Following exams, all Year 10 students will participate in a Kick Start program, which will take place over two days (4-5 December). During this time, Year 10s will begin their Year 11 classes, starting with Unit 1 content and receiving their holiday homework. This program is compulsory and designed to prepare students for VCE.

Year 9 students who have been selected to accelerate will be notified, prior to these sessions. Students will take part in the program.

Year 10s last day will be the Thu 5 Dec 2024.

Celebrating Success

Alpine School

Our six year 9 students - Paige, Louen, Alisha, Grace, Ollie and Rhyell - have moved to their new 'School for Student Leadership' for the term. They have completed two weeks and already had some great experiences including:

  • Moving to a new location and have had to learn to be independent
  • Meeting students from all over Victoria
  • Mountain bike riding, team challenges and preparation for their first camp

iLead

The iLead has kicked off and Nina and Gabe had a fun first day. They spent the day at Travencore School, where they were able to meet their other group members and staff. The program will officially start next week. The activities they will be doing will include:

  • Ice skating
  • Bike riding
  • CPR course
  • Leadership sessions and goal setting

A big shout out to Lien who graduated from the term 3 iLead group. She helped MC the event and did an amazing job  😊
