Bonnie P

With her formidable pace attack, took 4/12 off her 9 overs, including 2 in the Grand Final. Not out in both the Semi and Grand and a crunching 4 off her first ball faced in the quarter. 2 great catches at mid wicket v Cathedral.

Emma L

Determined to both defend and keep the scoreboard ticking over when batting, Emma was not out in the quarter and captured 2 valuable wickets in our final match. Always enthusiastic when fielding at mid on.

Chloe L

Always prepared to improve her skills and knowledge in every game, Chloe was never given out in the 3 games.

In the Grand Final her consistent forward defence ensured that we did not lose a valuable wicket; her team play certainly contributed much to the team’s success.

Interchange  Jas Anns and emergency Eva Santamaria were also very much part of the united team effort. Jas fielded successfully in the first 2 games and Eva whilst ready to be called upon, always managed the scoreboard smoothly.

Junior Girls' AFL 9s Inaugral Regional Champions

Congratulations to our squad of 14 Year 7 & 8 girls for winning every match in the first season of AFL 9s.

Our 4 Year 8s Remi S, Jess F, Dana S Mc and Paige F lead well in all encounters, setting  the example for our 10 Year 7s (Poppy, Zara, Amy, Chloe, Lily, Eva, Lucy, Maya, Amelia and Summer). Our running ability, judicious handball and well directed kicks enabled the 4 victories.

Although behind in both games at half time vs the Sports School Rowville, we lifted to win by 4 points in the first game and 10 points in the second.

The girls thoroughly enjoyed this new experience.

A big thanks to Ms Creemers for her support and the photos.
