Merry Christmas

As we reflect on 2024, it’s clear that it has been a challenging year for all members of our school community. However, I have been continually impressed by the resilience shown by both staff and students. The strength and determination demonstrated throughout the year have truly stood out.

Congratulations to all students who have worked hard and strived to achieve their personal best. We are excited to celebrate your achievements with you at our Presentation Evening this Tuesday night!

A special shout-out goes to the Year 7 Girls Cricket team, who were crowned State Champions last week. It was a pleasure to attend your final match, and the teamwork and excitement you showed for each other’s successes were truly inspiring.

As the year draws to a close, I hope everyone enjoys a well-deserved Christmas and New Year break. We look forward to welcoming back our Year 8 and 9 students on Thursday, January 30.

Wishing you all a joyful holiday season!

2025 Year 7 Transition

Tuesday (Transition Day) our incoming Grade 6 students got a taste of what life will be like at their new school. Students from 31 different primary schools came together to meet their future mentors and connect with new friends.

The day was filled with excitement as students participated in engaging Science and Physical Education activities, which were definite highlights. They also enjoyed a delicious pizza lunch, providing a great chance to socialise and create bonds with their new peers.

It has helped ease the transition into high school, ensuring the students are feeling more confident and ready for the adventures of Year 7. We look forward to welcoming them all to our school community in the coming year!

Thanks to all our 2025 Yr 7 mentor teachers and their leader Nicole Pratt for their dedication in preparing the day and making our new students feel so welcome.

Year 8 Leaders

A big thank you to our Year 8 leadership team for their outstanding support in running the Whole School Sports Event for Mullum Primary School on Friday, December 6, in our College Gym. Reports from Gecko Sports, who worked alongside our students, highlighted how engaged and quick to learn the Year 8s were in their roles. They were praised for their inclusive approach, ensuring that all participants felt welcome and involved.

Your dedication and teamwork made the event a success, and we are incredibly proud of the way you represented our school!

Year 9 Exam Program Update

The Year 9 exam program has been both well-organized and well-attended, and we are grateful for the dedication and hard work students put into preparing for their exams. With the exams now complete, our teachers are busy marking the content, ensuring accurate and thorough assessments.

The exam results will be included in the end-of-year reports, which will be published on Thursday, December 19. We look forward to sharing these results with students and their families as we wrap up the school year.
