A Message from the Acting Assistant Principal

Attendance & Punctuality

To help maintain accurate attendance records, please record any full-day student absences via the Compass portal as soon as possible. A follow-up email will be issued if an explanation for an absence has not been received.

Arriving on time is just as crucial for a productive school day. Establishing a steady morning routine ensures students arrive punctual, settled, and ready to learn.

School Hats

Wearing a school hat is an essential component of our daily uniform. While the vast majority of our students wear their hats consistently to remain protected from sun exposure, a small number continue to arrive without one or have misplaced theirs. According to our school policy, wearing a hat is mandatory for every student across all grade levels whenever they are outdoors or at lunch.

We ask for your assistance in reminding your child to bring their hat each day. Should your child require a replacement, new school hats can be purchased at the main office for $20.00. Students who do not have a hat during break times will be directed to remain in designated shaded areas. We appreciate your cooperation and continued assistance.

National Child Protection Week

Every child has the right to feel safe, supported and respected.

National Child Protection Week (6th–12th September) provides an essential opportunity for our school community to discuss student safety, wellbeing, and the role of trusted adults. The 2026 theme is ‘Every Conversation Matters, Shifting Conversation to Action’.

We encourage parents and carers to hold open, gentle conversations at home about personal safety and knowing what to do when something feels wrong. Reassure your children that they can always express themselves, say no, and seek assistance.

At school, we will continue to support students by helping them understand:

  • what safe and unsafe situations can look and feel like
  • the importance of speaking with a trusted adult
  • that they can keep asking for help until someone listens
  • that worries and concerns are never their fault
  • how to look after themselves and support others.

Together, we can create a community where every child feels safe, heard, valued and empowered to speak up.

R U OK? Day

Today our school observed R U OK? Day with classroom discussions and learning activities. This initiative fosters children's social and emotional growth, equipping them to support one another and build meaningful friendships. Through these experiences, students gain a deeper understanding of mental health, emotional awareness, and empathy.
