Victorian State Team Representation for Joshua Lim these holidays!

"This year, I was given the opportunity to be selected for the Victorian U18 Volleyball Team and represent Victoria at the Australian Youth Volleyball Championships (AYVC) in Perth during the upcoming school holidays.

I’m really excited to play at a national level and compete against some of the best young volleyball players from around Australia.

I’ve put a lot of effort into training this year, so I’m looking forward to seeing how I can perform on the national stage and put everything I’ve worked on into practice.

Hopefully, we can achieve a great result as a team and get the gold medal. I’m also hoping to gain valuable experience and potentially get noticed by high-level programs such as the AIS, which would be a great step towards my future goals in volleyball."

Joshua Lim (11 Frew)

Go Josh!

Honour for Matthew Wood

Congratulations to Matthew Wood (6 Aherne) on being selected for Basketball Victoria’s prestigious Golden Nugget Program following participation in the Future Development Program.

Matthew is one of only five bottom-age players chosen in the Under-14 age group!

As part of the Basketball Victoria pathway, Matthew will now have the opportunity to compete for selection in the Southern Cross Challenge in January.

Congratulations Matthew on this well-deserved recognition and good luck in the next stage of the program.
