Year 9 &

As we come to the end of the 2025 school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the many achievements and memorable experiences our Year 9 and Year 10 students have shared.

It has been a year filled with learning, growth, and countless opportunities that have shaped our students both academically and personally. It has been a privilege to work with multiple teams and teachers in the college to support the year 9 and 10 students to achieve their very best.

Our Year 9 students have embraced every challenge and new experience with enthusiasm—from attending Year 9 Camp, participating in Careers Education, and undertaking multiple excursions such as the Werribee Zoo, to their Advance Camp and the vibrant Multicultural Concert. This was also the first time our Year 9s sat exams, and we are incredibly proud of the focus and resilience they demonstrated throughout the process.

Our Year 10 students have also achieved so much. They completed Work Experience with maturity and professionalism, navigated Course Counselling to prepare for their senior pathways, and represented the College exceptionally well during excursions to Williamstown, interschool sport, and many other activities. One of the true highlights was the Year 10 Formal, where students and staff celebrated together in a wonderful evening that showcased the spirit and pride of Lalor Secondary College.

To our Year 10 students, we wish you all the very best as you enter the Senior School in 2026. We look forward to seeing you continue to grow as learners and leaders of our college community.

To our incoming 2026 Year 9s, we are excited to begin this journey with you next year. And to our 2026 Year 10s, we have a busy, challenging, and exciting year ahead—we cannot wait to see what you accomplish.

As we head into the holiday period, I encourage families to use this time to ensure students are ready to begin 2026 positively and confidently. This includes checking that students have all required learning resources for Day 1 and are fully prepared with the correct school uniform.

Thank you to all students, parents, carers, and staff for your hard work, support, and partnership throughout the year. Wishing everyone a restful, safe break and many happy moments with loved ones.

Warm regards,

Jules Ryan
