VET Hospitality Students Shine at Community Fashion Parade

Marian Catholic College’s VET Hospitality students once again showcased their talent, professionalism, and community spirit at this year’s Kendalls Shoes and Griffith Breast Cancer Support Group Fashion Parade Fundraiser.

The senior hospitality team played a key role in catering the event, preparing and serving a selection of savoury supper items for guests attending the annual charity showcase. Their hard work behind the scenes contributed to a warm, welcoming atmosphere and helped ensure the evening ran smoothly.

Year 12 students Elif Kaya and Amber Sayers were also invited as special guest speakers. They addressed the audience with confidence, sharing insights into the VET Hospitality program at Marian and highlighting the valuable skills students develop through hands-on learning and real-world service opportunities. Their speech not only celebrated the program but also demonstrated the leadership and professionalism nurtured within the course.

The event was a proud moment for the College and the VET Hospitality team, reflecting the strong partnership between Marian students and the wider Griffith community. Through experiences like this, VET Hospitality students continue to build skills that will support them in future workplaces—while giving back to local organisations that make a meaningful difference
