Medieval Day

Year 8 students recently stepped back in time for an exciting Medieval Day filled with hands-on activities and demonstrations. Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to try archery and learn about the types of bows and arrows commonly used in Medieval combat. They also discovered how medieval knights trained and prepared to compete in tournaments. They then had a go themselves! 

Students learnt about the different games medieval people played for entertainment and had the chance to try some themselves. They also explored the darker side of medieval life by learning how crime and punishment were dealt with during the period.

The students who participated all enjoyed their day and having the opportunity to step back in time.
