4YO Kindergarten Enrolment Process
Have you enrolled your child for next year? Applications closed 30th June for first round offers. If you put in an application after 1 July, it will be processed after third-round offers have been finalised (usually mid-August).
What happens next
Monash Council will send out First round offers around mid July to families. First-round offers are emailed (followed by an SMS reminder) to parents/guardians, and you have 7 days to respond to the offer, or it is withdrawn. First-round offers are only sent to people who live in Monash. Second and third-round offers are emailed in the following weeks with the same 7-day response time. These offers are also open to people who do not live in Monash. Late applications are processed and sent an offer if vacancies are still available after the closure of third-round offers.
Kindergartens are then notified of acceptances.
Enrolment confirmation - The kindergarten will then contact you to finalise enrolment information specific to their centre and to discuss starting date/time and what to expect.

Foundation (Prep) Enrolments in 2026 in a Government School
Enrol by Friday 25th July
What you need to do:
1.Use Find my School to locate your designated neighbourhood school (referred to as your local school) and other nearby government schools.
2. Contact a government primary school to book a school tour or to learn more about the school and the enrolment process.
3. Enrolments will be open from Tuesday 22 April 2025. The link to begin the online enrolment process is: https://students.educationapps.vic.gov.au/s
4. Submit an enrolment application for Foundation (Prep) by Friday 25 July 2025.
You will be notified of the outcome of your application between Monday 28 July and Friday 8 August 2025. If you receive an enrolment offer, you should accept the offer by Friday 23 August 2025.
5. Take part in enrolment information and transition sessions during Term 4, 2025.
6. Your child will start Foundation (Prep) from (or after) Wednesday 28 January 2026.
