From the Principal's Desk
Dear Lord,
Help everyone share kindness as we live in your world, which is meant for everyone. We look at how your son, Jesus Christ has shared love with the world. Mary MacKillop shared education with people from around the world. Everyone is learning to be like our saints and your son. The world you made should be sharing all your creations. Help people make good choices and help us share your creations with others. I hope more people like your son will show the world to share everything and not keep it for themselves. I hope this world will become a better place. I wish everyone shares the resources you made. I want everyone to have warmth and feel loved. Thank you for making this world so I have life. I also wish everyone who is getting sick survives the illness. Thank you god! AMEN
- Hayley (Year 2AH)
HOW CAN I HELP OUR SCHOOL?
WHAT IS THE SAC?
Every Catholic primary school has a School Advisory Council (SAC). The SAC is made up of members of the school community who wish to provide advice to the school leaders about the operation of the school. No experience is necessary. If you are a member of our school community who would like to assist in making Resurrection School the best possible place for children and families to grow, learn and work together, then you are invited to join the SAC. There are details about the role of the SAC below and Expressions of Interest are invited.
The SAC will meet twice each term and membership is for 2 years.
RESURRECTION SCHOOL KEYSBOROUGH
SCHOOL ADVISORY COUNCIL (SAC) 2024
Resurrection School Vision
At Resurrection School we live by Christian values within our Catholic tradition based on Jesus’ commandment to,
“Love one another as I have loved you”.
We strive to be a learning community that actively promotes knowledge, creativity, skills and reflection for life-long learning. We aim to provide engaging, differentiated and personalised learning experiences to nurture each individual as a global citizen.
We promote a culture that focuses on the well-being of all learners in a safe, nurturing environment and values authentic connections to the wider community.
The School Advisory Council provides an important connection between the school community, school leaders and parish. The members inform and advise the school leadership by offering support and sharing their wisdom, including:
- Promoting the school’s vision, Catholic ethos and culture
- Promoting faith formation
- Supporting school policies
- Giving advice about school improvement and the Master Plan
- Discussing the annual school budget, resources and maintenance
The success of the Council’s work depends on the support of, and feedback from, the School Community.
SAC MEMBERS
The School Advisory Council invites you to contact any of its members with your contributions.
THE WORK OF THE SAC
- Act as a forum for discussion and advise the Principal on matters concerning education in the school
- Provide a link between the parish, Principal, parents and staff in relation to the provision of Catholic education in the school community
In 2024 our strategic direction will include:
- Engaging in review, feedback and development to contribute to the school’s future directions
- Explore ways to improve the engagement of parents in the school
- Provide community outreach and engagement
The ongoing SAC focus will be the promotion of effective communication and fostering participation in the school community.

The Council meets twice each term during the school year.
The Council elects the Chairperson.
Minutes are kept of all meetings.
