VVJO SENIORS

On Tuesday 25 - Thursday 27 November, our senior volleyball teams competed at the Volleyball Victoria Junior Open (VVJO) at MSAC.

Our Year 10 Boys and Girls were successful in receiving a silver medal each. Our Year 10 and 11 Boys team competed in the challenging Year 12 division and only just missed out on the semifinals by a point and managed to come 5th overall.

Thanks to Kyla, Zoe, Tayla and Charli for their wonderful coaching!

YEARS 7 & 8 BOYS TABLE TENNIS STATE FINALS

Both teams competed in the Table Tennis State Finals at MSAC on Friday 28 November 2025.

The Year 7 team won one of their three round robin matches which saw them just fall short of qualifying for the semifinals.

The Year 8 Boys were in the tough side of the draw and took rubbers off all three opposition schools but sadly also missed making it into the semis this year. Still an amazing achievement to win their zone, division and region finals.

The Year 8 Boys (in the order of the photo left to right) were: Charlie Pettifer, Vasilis Dimitrakopoulos, Leon Gauthier and Kevin Wang.

STAFF VS STUDENT BASKETBALL

On Wednesday a staff v student basketball game was organised to help celebrate the Year 7s in 2025 as they head off to East Campus in 2026.

The inaugural Kindness Cup was well attended and well supported by staff and students alike. The staff played with some razzle dazzle notably by Ben Reid and Hamish Rose but they were well supported by other staff members such as Hannah Sclar, Jordan Butera, Lee Laskiridis, Riley Price, Kate Allison, Dan Farthing, Bailey Scrivener, Jemma Owen, Charlie Rowe and Ben Rood.

There was even a student on the staff team with Lukas shooting an impressive shot from downtown to the cheers of the gallery!!

The Year 7s were represented by many including  Zachy B, Sylas F, Hetvee M, Jobe G, Ayda S, Stella J, Koby R, Benji S , Winter B, Helena N, and Leo J.

Do I know who won? I would say basketball and kindness won the day and it was great to see the kids have fun and the staff play with a carefree abandon that has been lacking in all their lessons throughout the year!

Congratulations to all involved and apologies to those whose name I may have missed!
