Modern Choir performances

– Miss Maria, Performing Arts teacher

Our Modern Choir have been busy singing their hearts out to the community in the last month.

Y(our) Fest

Term 1 rehearsals started early again this year as we had the YOur Fest performance to prepare for. Scheduled for the middle weekend of the school holidays, the festival is planned and organised by local youth with guidance of the Artists for Kids staff and is a fascinating sharing of skill and culture. Thank-you to the eighteen families who performed, incorporating the YOur Fest experience into their holidays. It was wonderful that so many students were able to participate in the performance and the activities the event offered.

After the holiday break, our singular focus was preparing to lead the community singing for the Anzac Day commemoration service beside Port Melbourne Yacht Club last Saturday. The unseasonably warm weather was a challenge that we rose above.

Congratulations to all students for their commitment, especially the time spent practicing at home too!
