New Life After a Busy Term

Easter is the joyful celebration of Jesus’ resurrection. It reminds us that God brings life where there was loss, light where there was darkness and hope where there is weariness. The empty tomb is a powerful sign that love and life have the final word.

As we come to the end of a busy school term, there are no doubt many children, parents and staff feeling tired. It has been a time of learning, teaching, effort and growth. Easter meets us at this moment and reminds us that God understands our tiredness and invites us to rest and be renewed. After seasons of hard work come seasons of refreshment and new beginnings.

As we head into the school holidays and step away from the daily routines of school life, we pray for a time of refreshment and renewal. May this break be an opportunity to rest well, reconnect with family and friends and be restored in both body and spirit.

Jesus invites us with these words in Matthew 11:28, where He calls those who are weary to come to Him and find rest. Because Jesus is risen, we can trust that our efforts matter, our challenges are not wasted and God is always at work bringing new life.

As we reflect on the blessing we receive at Easter and look forward to enjoying the break from normal routines, may we return refreshed, renewed and ready for the season ahead with hearts full of hope.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the hope and joy of Easter. Thank You for being with us through a busy term. We pray for a time of rest, refreshment and renewal over the school holidays and ask that You prepare our hearts and minds for what lies ahead. Amen.
