New Brigidine Library Space!
We are excited to welcome all students into our newly refurbished Brigidine Library! After months of planning and improvement, the library has been redesigned to create a brighter, more flexible space that supports the many ways students learn, study, read and collaborate.
The updated library features comfortable seating and improved study areas – whether you need a calm place to revise for assessments, or simply a comfortable spot to enjoy a great book, the new library has something for everyone.
One of the most noticeable features is the beautiful fabric design on our new furniture that was designed by Merryn Apma, titled Kwatye ‘Waterholes’. Merryn’s people are from the Arrenente Country, west of Alice Springs. The artwork shows the desert, the special waterholes, camps and tracks connecting them.
You will also notice refreshed shelving and displays highlighting a wide range of fiction and non-fiction titles.
From gripping novels to resources supporting student coursework, the collection is ready to inspire curiosity and support learning across all subjects. We encourage you to explore the new layout, make use of the study spaces, and ask the library staff for help finding resources, research support, or your next great read.
As the term continues, keep an eye out for new displays, reading recommendations and library activities that will make the most of our revitalised space.
We look forward to seeing you in the Brigidine Library soon!
