Captains Corner

Written by School Captain Sophie

Hi everybody! Welcome back to Captains Corner. These couple weeks at St Anne's have been jam packed full of fun events!

Our year 6's winter school sports competing day is coming up soon, which we will have to get ready for. There is Netball, AFL nines, T-Ball and Soccer. Hopefully the year 6's can lead St Annes to victory, and to the next round of their sports!

And speaking of advancing to the next round, there were a few students who did awesome in their cross country, and advanced to round 3! Congratulations to that small handful of kids, and good job to the ones who competed in Cross Country too.

The School Captains held tours for the siblings of other students that are coming next year. We all had a great time and it was really fun, especially for the school captains.

The school is also preparing for our district athletics carnival, and tryouts for the different sports are being held right now. To name a few, we have a range of different sprints, shotput, triple jump, long jump and more.

Those tryouts will be held across the next few weeks. A pathway is also being built near the playground area, so tryouts will be back on once that is finished.

Thank you for reading, and we'll see you in the next newsletter. Have a great week!!!
