Sydney Catholic Schools Conference 1 Swimming Championships – A Day to Remember!
On Monday 2 March, students from across the system gathered at the impressive Sydney Catholic Schools Swimming Championships, held at Des Renford Leisure Centre. It was a day filled with excitement, determination and outstanding achievement in the pool.
We are incredibly proud of all the swimmers from St Margaret Mary’s who represented our school with enthusiasm and pride. Each student gave their very best effort, demonstrating not only skill and perseverance, but also exceptional sportsmanship throughout the day. It was wonderful to see our students supporting and cheering each other on.
The championships were thrilling, with new records broken and impressive performances across many events by all schools. The level of competition was high, and our students rose to the challenge with courage and determination.
A special congratulations goes to Francesca Rugendyke for her brilliant achievements. Francesca placed 1st and 2nd in every race she swam, an outstanding accomplishment and proudly earned a bronze medal in the 200m medley. Her dedication, hard work and commitment to training truly paid off.
Congratulations once again to all of our swimmers for representing St Margaret Mary’s so proudly. We look forward to celebrating more sporting successes throughout the year!
