Project Compassion Boxes Available

As part of our support for Caritas Australia’s Project Compassion, families are invited to take a donation box home for the Lenten season. If you would like a box, you’re welcome to collect one from the school office, or simply email me and I’ll happily arrange one for your family.

Lenten Walk of Love - Family Service Challenge

This Lent, we’re inviting all our families to join us for a simple but meaningful “Walk of Love.” It’s not about going far or doing anything fancy—just taking a little time together to pause, walk, chat, and notice the people and world around you. As you walk, we encourage you to choose one small act of kindness to do as a family that week. It could be checking in on a neighbour, helping someone at home, or simply offering a smile to someone who needs it.

It’s a gentle way to live out Lent together—step by step, heart by heart. Have a look at some of the ideas below. We hope your family enjoys the journey!

Saying thank you to your family members
Give someone in your family a big hug
Share 3 things your love about each family member
Pray for someone who might be feeling lonely
Choose someone and do something kind for them

Write a nice note and hide it for a family member to find
Offer to help cook a meal
Share a toy or game with a sibling or friend
Donate a book or toy to charity
Make a small gift or bake something special for someone who might need a pop of joy!
Let someone else choose the family movie or game night

Dates for the Diary

Caritas Fundraiser - Thursday 5th March - $10 - sausage sizzle, zooper dooper and a drink. All proceeds raised to go towards Project Compassion

Year 4 St Patricks Day Assembly - Students wear a sprinkle of green. Tuesday 17th March 2:30pm, Lolly Jar Guessing Competition at break times- $1 per guess (Pope Francis Committee).

Harmony Day - Students wear a sprinkle of orange and bring a gold coin donation. Friday 20th March.

Holy Week Liturgy Reminder

This year, our Holy Week Liturgy will take place in Week 10 on Thursday 2nd April at 1:30pm. All classes will present their item that afternoon. Notes will go home in the next couple of weeks regarding costume requirements for each class.

PLEASE NOTE: The annual STMM Easter Raffle

will take place AFTER the Holy Week Liturgy

Loving God,

As we journey through this season of Lent, help us to open our hearts to You.Teach us to be kind, to forgive others, and to make choices that bring peace and goodness.

May we follow Jesus’ example in the way we speak, act, and care for those in need.Bless our school community with compassion, courage, and hope.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
