Diaries

All students have been issued with a new 2023 student diary.  The student diary is an important means of communication between home and school.  We encourage all students, parents, and teachers to make the most of it.  Lost diaries will need to be replaced at a cost of $25 so please take good care of it.  On page 14 of the diary, there is a section to be signed by both students and parents.  Please make sure you are familiar with all of the policies listed on the pages prior and then sign. Teachers will take some time to go through these pages with students before asking each of them (except for our very young students) to sign as well.

·         Students should keep their diaries available in their office every day and take it home with them every afternoon. It is an important tool for keeping organised and maintaining good work habits.

·         All homework and assignments should be recorded in the diary.

·         It is the student’s responsibility to have a parent or guardian sign the diary every time he or she has homework.

·         Students are also responsible for having their parents sign the diary at the end of each week or when a note is written to home.

·         Parents, feel free to use the diary to communicate with your child’s teacher. Notices of absences and other issues can be included in the diary.  This can also be done through the Sentral Parents app/portal.

·         Students are responsible for bringing to their teacher’s attention any notes in the diary written by parents to the school.
