Representative Sport Update 

Oztag 

 

Congratulations to all Oztag teams that competed this Term. 

We had huge success in the Conference. 

 

The final placings were:

  • Junior A - 2nd place 
  • Junior B - 2nd place 
  • Inter A - 1st place
  • Inter B - 3rd place 
  • Senior A - 2nd place 

 

The Inter A team progressed to the Sydney Championships. The girls played terrific against Marist Sisters Woolwich defeating them 5 - 1. They unfortunately lost the final against Bethany College. We are all very proud of the efforts the girls put in, they left everything out on the field. 

 

 

Volleyball 

 

Congratulations to all volleyball teams that competed this Term. Through the girls' dedicated hard work and determination, their volleyball skills showed significant improvement over the course of the term.

Representative Sport Term 1 2024

The Representative Sports on offer in Term 1 are: 

  • Touch
  • Basketball
  • Water polo
  • Dance Teams (Jazz and Contemporary) 

 

Dance Trials - Tuesday 6th February 7:15 - 8:30 am in Synan Hall 

 

The intermediate touch, basketball and water polo teams have all been finalised. 

The junior touch and basketball have not been finalised due to the fact that we need to leave spaces for the incoming Year 7s who will trial on their first day of school. In the first week of league games (Week 1, Term 1) the coaches will take a panel of girls who have been shortlisted. Each girl will get a game. After Week 1 the team will be finalised. 

 

GALA Days 

Congratulations to the junior futsal team on their undefeated performance in the Futsal GALA Day, and a special shout-out for their victorious 5-3 win in the final against St. Clares. It's a remarkable achievement. Well done to everyone involved!

 

Congratulations to the junior, intermediate, and senior badminton teams for their fantastic performances at the SCS GALA Day. It's clear that the girls not only had a fun day but also competed with tenacity, showcasing their skills and dedication.

 

 

Special commendations to the three pairs that reached the quarterfinals, demonstrating their excellence on the court. Additionally, a big congratulations to the intermediate team for finishing fourth in Sydney and the junior team for claiming third place. What a remarkable achievement for all the teams! The effort and pride they displayed in representing the school are truly commendable. Well done to the players involved!

The following Year groups will be given the option of ‘Free Choice’ sport.

Each sport option will be allocated on a first-come basis.

Following this, students will receive their sport allocations on Monday 29th January. On this day a Google form will also be sent out which will give the students the option to change their sport allocation. The form will be open until the following Monday, 5th February.

 

After this date, no sport changes will be accepted. 

 

Early CCC Registrations for 2024 

 

As we prepare for 2024, we have a NSWCCC representative pathway sports selections for individual entry sport early in Term 1. The closing dates for registrations are very soon after returning to school. Please note all close dates are firm dates. No registrations will be permitted after the close dates.

 

All individual sports registrations are completed on the CSNSW.SPORT website. The parent must have an account and add their child to have access. (Sport Registration HELP available on sport info page)

A reminder of our CSNSW Sport pilot event - AQUATHLON - on 19 December 2023 at Amour Park Revesby. Open to students aged 8 years to 19 years. This is not a pathway but a fun activity we are hoping to expand.
