Term 4

Secondary 9/10 students have had an action packed term! We stepped outside our comfort zones and embraced new challenges. We have had surf camp,  sailing, circus classes, Showcase, RMIT STEM day, Watermarc, Hoyts and don’t forget all of the learning!

We kicked Term 4 off with our Anglesea Surf Camp Adventure: where we embarked on an unforgettable adventure, going surfing, conquering crate towers and canoeing at the lake. 

Back at school, an alternative timetable brought unique experiences including cooking, shared lunches and even crazy crafts!

In week 3, we began circus classes that culminated in our annual Secondary 9/10 Showcase.  The showcase was such a joyful night of singing, dancing and clowning around! Our 9/10 band performed, along with our Triple Threat Singers and Fit For Life Dance crew. Each class performed a circus act, introduced by our fabulous MCs Lucy, Caylen and Iyad. A highlight for me was watching Caylen sing ‘The Rainbow Connection’ and watching all the parents watch their own students perform. 

Each buddy class had a go at Sailing early in the term. Lots of our students have never tried sailing before and it really pushed them out of their comfort zones. It was so great to see them persevere and challenge themselves to do something a little scary! Albert Park Lake was a great place to learn with Sailability ensuring all our students could participate and have fun.

On Friday, December 5, Secondary 9/10 descended on Watermarc for a half day of fun activities. Students played games, ran the inflatable, learned water safety and went on the waterslides. The slides were a firm favourite but the games brought out our competitive side! Another fun end of term treat was our trip to the movies. Students got to choose between Kangaroo or Zootopia 2.

The end of the year is always bittersweet as we wish our incredible Year 10 students great success as they transition to Year 11. Your resilience and spirit have brightened our days. As the holiday season approaches, enjoy a well-deserved break. 

Thanks for another incredible term, and we look forward to creating more memories in the coming year.
