Secondary 9/10

9/10A
Term 4 has been full of awesome achievements and great times.
Some of our class went to camp in week 1 and had a wonderful time surfing, crate climbing, mini golfing, scavenger hunting and watching movies. Students who participated on camp had described it as “the best fun ever” and “11 out of 10”.
Our remaining classmates had lots of fun with activities like making sandwiches, creating art and enjoying the peace and quiet.
After camp we went sailing. It was a beautiful day, and while a little nerve wracking for some of us, we are all proud of our effort on the day. Some of us even got to go in the speed boat and make waves for the sailors!
For STEAM, we have done lots of new fun activities including gardening, pumpkin carving, visiting the cat protection centre, and art with Marcella. Gardening in particular proved a great opportunity for the whole group to prove just how incredible they are at taking leadership of tasks, working together, and working hard to support their school. After a few weeks of STEAM we began our circus journey. Secondary 9/10A specialise the spinning plates and will be giving their best to perform at our showcase. There is still lots of fun to be had with our showcase, Watermarc celebration and movie trip coming up in the closing weeks of the year, but from the whole team in 9/10A we just wanted to say that we have had such an amazing year and we are so proud of all the ways the class has grown, learned, and come together as a community.
9/10B
Term 4 has been incredibly busy and full of amazing experiences for our students. We've participated in so many memorable activities, including our school camp, which gave students great opportunities for personal growth and teamwork. Students had a fantastic time on excursions to the Cat Protection Society, Sailing and WaterMarc Fun Day.
The real highlight of the term has been preparing for the Year 9/10 Showcase, with students practicing their circus and dance routines with loads of enthusiasm and commitment. It's been wonderful watching them develop their performance skills and find the courage to get up on stage.
As we head towards the end of the year, there's so much to be proud of in what 9/10B students have achieved this term. Their willingness to give new things a go and support each other has made Term 4 a brilliant way to finish the school year.
9/10 C
Term 4 has been one of a kind. It’s been raining cats and dogs and frogs, which means our class garden of tomatoes and broccoli is looking amazing! Our recently planted native foods garden is blooming and the mandarins that we planted earlier in the year have made a comeback and hopefully will fruit next year.
The camp adventures in week 1 were exciting and the students had a wonderful time surfing, crate climbing, mini golfing, scavenger hunting and enjoying time away from gadgets and video games… Well maybe not that last bit…
After camp we went sailing at Albert Park lake. Despite some struggles with lack of wind, it was otherwise a beautiful day. Although some students were a bit nervous before, they all had a blast.
For STEAM this term, we have participated in a variety of activities including gardening, pumpkin carving, visiting the cat protection centre, and making paper lanterns with Marcella. All STEAM activities have provided a great opportunity for the whole group to prove their individual talents, specialities, leadership of tasks, ability to work together to support their school.
A real highlight of the term has been preparing for the Year 9/10 Showcase, with students practicing their circus and dance routines with loads of enthusiasm and commitment. It's been wonderful watching them develop their performance skills and find the courage to get up on stage. 9/10C teamed up with 9/10A to specialise the spinning plates and gave their best to perform at our showcase. It has been amazing to see the students grow in confidence in 2025.
There is still lots of fun to be had with our Watermarc celebration and movie trip coming up in the closing weeks of the year, and a few class events along the way.
Thanks for a great year, and enjoy a restful holidays.
9/10D
Term 4 has been a busy and exciting time for Secondary 9/10D, filled with new experiences and plenty of teamwork. We started the term with camp in Week 1, where students enjoyed surfing, crate climbing, mini golf, scavenger hunts, and movie nights. Non campers had a great couple of days creating art, cooking and playing games. When the class voted on their favourite moments of the semester, camp, sailing, and the Showcase were chosen as the top three highlights.
This term we also had a wonderful day of sailing at Albert Park Lake. We were blessed with great weather and everyone enjoyed being outdoors and on the water.
This term in STEAM, students explored a range of hands-on activities, including creating Christmas decorations at Melbourne Polytechnic, pumpkin carving for Halloween, visiting the Cat Protection Centre and participating in a special workshop with teachers and students from RMIT.
Secondary 9/10D has also been very busy preparing for the Showcase with circus skills, focusing on spinning poi. It was wonderful to see students and families arrive to celebrate their learning, enjoy the special performances, and browse through all the displays.
9/10E
What a term! How can it possibly be nearing the end of the year?
Secondary 9/10E has packed in the learning, incursions, excursions and fun!
We thoroughly enjoyed attending Anglesea Surf Camp, even with the rain! Students bravely took part in new activities such as surfing and crate climbing. It was wonderful to spend time with friends too during mini golf, and the movie night.
For sailing at Albert Park Lake we relaxed with a tour around the lake.
We all agree Pumpkin Carving was gross, yet lots of fun. Across the section, ours was definitely the spookiest.
9/10F
Secondary 9/10F had a fantastic end of the year. There were many highlights for everyone, including the cat society, where everyone loved the kittens and Evy really wanted to adopt one; the STEM incursion, where Oscar built a brilliant tower using the correct brick-laying technique; the 9/10 Showcase, where our dancers James, Oscar, Bonnie, Evy, and Jacob moved with great skill. The performers danced brilliantly to the beat, and the circus artists and all-stars delivered stunning acts.
They also enjoyed sailing at Albert Park, where Bonnie and Jacob rode in a speedboat; making Halloween pumpkins, where Chloe B, Brad, and Oscar showed their carving skills; and the 9/10 camp, where Brad, Chloe B, and Jessdaniel learnt to surf.
9/10G
What an incredible start to Term 4 it has been for Secondary 9/10G.
We began the term with an exciting Surf Camp, where students enjoyed surfing along with activities such as canoeing, crate climbing, raft building, and a campsite scavenger hunt.
Throughout the term, students have taken part in meaningful experiences including church cleaning and the school clean-up, demonstrating responsibility and pride in caring for our community. Other highlights have included sailing at Port Melbourne, pumpkin carving, the Blubber experiment, and our visit to the Cat Protection Society.
Students also loved creating the Imagine, Create, Belong movie, bringing their characters to life through creativity and teamwork. Weekly Library and MILE Room sessions continue to be enjoyed, with morning meetings and movement breaks remaining a favourite part of the day.
A standout moment this term has been the dedication and teamwork shown during rehearsals for the 9/10 Showcase circus performance. Thank you to all 9/10 students for their hard work and support in making the showcase such a success.
We are looking forward to more exciting experiences ahead, including WaterMarc Day, Hoyts Movie Day, and the Community Concert.
9/10H
What a wonderful end to the year we’ve had in Secondary 9/10H!
Term 4 has been full of memorable experiences and moments that really highlighted how much our students have grown.
We kicked things off with an incredible Surf Camp at Anglesea, where students challenged themselves, supported each other, and had an absolute blast in the water.
We also enjoyed our excursions to the Cat Protection Society and Watermarc — both days were filled with smiles, teamwork, and lots of fun.
One of the biggest highlights of the term was the 9/10 Showcase. I was super proud of every single student for their hard work, confidence, and commitment. Watching them shine onstage was truly special, and they should all be so proud of what they achieved.
It has been a genuinely wonderful year. I feel incredibly blessed to have had this class, and I will miss them dearly as they move on. Thank you to all students and families for your support throughout 2025 — it has been an honour to be part of your journey.
