Advent Liturgies

Over the next four weeks St Bede's will be gathering together in the Hall to celebrate the season of Advent. We will be led in these short reflective services by different year groups. All members of our community are more than welcome to attend these liturgies. Please see the schedule below:

Advent Liturgy Week 1 - Tuesday 25th November 10:15am PREP

Advent Liturgy Week 2 - Monday 1st December 9:00am Year 1 & 2

Advent Liturgy Week 3 - Monday 8th December 9:00am Year 3 & 4

Advent Liturgy Week 4 - Monday 15th December 9:00am Year 5 & 6 

School Closure Day - 

On Monday 24th November, the staff will be travelling into the city to the Mary MacKillop Heritage Centre to explore the life and ministry of St Mary of the Cross. We will spend time in personal reflection on how this resonates in our lives and then as a group, at St Bede's. After lunch we will participate in a pilgrimage to St Francis Church and St Patrick's Cathedral.

Welcome

This week we were delighted to welcome Alexander (Yr 5D) and Oliver (Yr 3M), along with their parents, Bianca and Ayden, to the St Bede’s community. We know our community will embrace them with warmth and kindness.

Baby News

Congratulations to Erin Robinson (Art Teacher in Terms 2 and 3) on the safe arrival of her beautiful baby girl, Hazel. Both Erin and Hazel are doing well. 

More Baby News

Raphaelle Jolly (French Assistant) and her partner Chris have announced they are expecting their first baby in April 2026. We wish them all the best and good health during this exciting time.

Thank you

A huge thank you to our lovely Mediha from @a.sweetcup_  who has so generously donated her beautiful tarts for our Grade 6 Graduation.

Her homemade sweets I’m sure will go down a treat and we’re so grateful for her kindness and support for our school community. Thank you for adding an extra touch of sweetness for a special day! 

Reminder

Just a reminder that there will be building works commencing at the Church next week, Monday 24th November. The driveway will not be able to be accessed to enter or exit the school. The school will be able to be accessed via the gate on the other side of the church.
