Principal's Report

Dear Students and Families,

Welcome back to an exciting Term 3 at our school! I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable break, ready to embrace the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.

Welcome to Ms Gu, who has been permanently appointed to the St Johns Park staff as a Chinese Community Language teacher. Congratulations Ms Gu.

At the end of last term, we farewelled Mrs Ung. She has been at our school since 2018, supporting students with their learning. Mrs Ung has been appointed as a Preschool Learning and Support Officer at a local school with a new preschool. Congratulations Mrs Ung and we wish her well in her new position.

This term promises to be filled with engaging learning experiences and exciting events. We have already had the Year 3-6 Athletics Carnival last Thursday. The students had a fantastic day and it was great to have so many families attending. Thank you to Mr Russo and the Stage 3 team for their organisation. The carnival was a huge success.

The next major event is Education Week in Week 3. Public Education Week is a statewide event and a time for all of us to come together and celebrate our commitment to inspiring excellence. Our school takes pride in being part of NSW public education and the endless and far-reaching achievements of our students and staff. We have a variety of activities planned which are published in this newsletter and also listed in the 'Important Dates' section. I hope you can join us throughout the week.

Warm regards,

Dianne Donatiello
