Message from the Principal

St Peter’s School - an empowered faith community to enrich the world.

Welcome to Term 2 Week 10

Thank you to everyone for an amazing term! I thank all staff at St Peter's for their ongoing commitment to providing a safe, stimulating and challenging environment for our students. I hope they have a restful break and return for Term 3 reenergised.

I thank families for your continued support, and I thank our students for always doing their best and being the best version of themselves. I wish you all restful and relaxing holidays, and hope everyone comes back for a BIG Term 3.

Please read 'Wellbeing- Holidays' for some tips and ideas to occupy students while keeping them off screens.

We start with swimming next term and then change focus to our production on Tuesday, 1 September at Sacred Heart College, Oakleigh. More details about this exciting event will be shared early next term. But save the date now!

Reports

Reports have now been shared through the PAM app. I congratulate all students on the growth they have demonstrated over the last semester and hope that you can celebrate their achievements with them.

Best teacher campaign

Nominations for Australia’s Best Teachers 2026 are closing soon!  We encourage our families to recognise the exceptional educators here at St Peter's School. Nominations close on Friday, 26 June

Building Program update

As part of the program includes re-surfacing an area of the playground, it will be necessary for us to change our way of entering and exiting school grounds. The Mary St gates will be closed from the beginning of Term 3 (13 July) until the building works are finished (approximately the end of August). There will also be no external walkway between the back playground and the lower court area.

The following access to the school will be in place for this period:

  • All students to enter via Rose St at the beginning of the day
  • The front office will provide access to the school between 8:50am and 3:10pm
  • Teachers will pick up classes at 8:50am from the rear basketball court.
  • They will walk through the Junior building to access the rest of the school.
  • At the end of the day, classes will be dismissed from the rear basketball court, and families are to exit via the Rose St gate. Please use Rose St as a 'drop and go' zone. If you wish to walk your child into school, please park at the church car park and walk down Rose St.
  • If you need to speak to Margaret in the office, please access the front door at the top of the ramp.
  • When using Rose St you are reminded to follow the road signs, as this is a one way street during school drop off and pick up times. There is no right turn from Mary St into Rose St.
  • We need everyone in the community to keep our students and families safe. There are to be no 3-point turns in Rose St.

Prayer for St Peter's Day

We celebrate St Peter, a faithful follower of Jesus. Help us to learn from his example of courage, trust, and service. May our school community continue to grow in faith and friendship. Help us to live our motto, Credo, by believing in you, believing in one another, and sharing your love with everyone we meet.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Come and join us at 12:30pm on Friday as we celebrate our Patron Saint Feast day.
