PEAK NCS  'Exceeding' National Quality Standards

We’re thrilled to share that Peak Sports and Learning NCS recently underwent the Assessment and Rating process, and we have been awarded an 'Exceeding' rating under the National Quality Standards!

As an Outside of School Hours Care (OOSH) provider, Peak is regulated by the Early Childhood Education Directorate, and our programs are evaluated across seven rigorous quality areas. Achieving an 'Exceeding' rating signifies that our service goes above and beyond the standard requirements, continuously enhancing our offerings for the school community.

This recognition is especially significant, as only 341 of 5,044 services nationwide have earned this rating – including 18 Peak services. We’re extremely proud of our team and grateful for the opportunity to provide exceptional care to your community. 

🌈 Sensory Sensation at PEAK! ✨

It has been another fun and busy term at PEAK! 🥳 Our term topic, Sensory Sensation, has given the children lots of opportunities to explore, create, and learn through hands-on experiences. 🎨🧪

So far, we have made cloud dough, loose parts squishies, and chia seed slime . We have also explored a range of health, safety, and wellbeing topics, including designing our own bike helmets, respecting personal space and privacy, learning about our coping skills, and exploring growth mindset strategies such as dragon breathing 🐉💨.

The children have also been busy getting involved in special events around the school, including participating in the Soil Week Poster Competition and creating a display for Dental Health Week 🦷🪥.

Our sport focus this term has been pickleball! 🏓 The children have been learning the basic rules and skills of the game, practising hitting, passing, and working with a partner. It has been great seeing children of all ages having a go, building their confidence, and enjoying a new sport together!

Connecting with our wider community has been another special part of our term. The children made squishies for residents at Osborne Nursing Home 👵👴 and shared some laughs by writing jokes for our pen pals at PEAK Vincentia 💌✉️.

Coming up next term! 🦘

Next term, our topic will be All Around Australia! 🇦🇺 We are excited to explore different places, cultures, animals, landmarks, and all the amazing things Australia has to offer 🐨🪃.
