Vinnies Fundraising 

Throughout Term 3, students will have many opportunities to support the Vinnies Winter Appeal. Please keep an eye on our socials and weekly overview for the activities planned. An overview is below:

Face Painting 

Throughout term three, secondary students have been assisting with the St Philomena’s Vinnie’s Winter Appeal. On Friday the 20th, they opened a very successful face-painting station with so many wonderful designs. Thank you to our students and families for supporting our fundraising efforts. 

The Angelus 

At our school, we cherish the moments where we can pause as a community to connect with God and reflect on our faith. Prayer occurs in our school every day. One of these special traditions is the praying of the Angelus. Traditionally prayed at noon, the Angelus is a beautiful, centuries-old Catholic prayer that commemorates the Incarnation, the moment God became man in Jesus Christ through Mary's "yes." 

As a school, we will be praying the Angelus. In the midst of our busy school day, our students and staff will stop what they are doing, quiet their minds, and spend a few moments in shared prayer. It is a wonderful daily reminder of God’s constant presence in our lives, teaching the value of mindfulness, gratitude, and daily reflection.
