 Westbreen School Escape Challenge

Coming Soon to Westbreen is a whole school escape challenge. Each class will need to solve an open-ended task to unlock their classroom and collect a letter. At assembly in week 10 each class will reveal their letter to decipher a hidden message. What could the message be?

Book Week and Numeracy

What a wonderful Book Week we had at Westbreen! Our students enjoyed exploring the theme “A Symphony of Stories” through engaging and challenging mathematics activities.

Throughout the week, students tackled a range of book-themed problem-solving challenges, using their mathematical thinking to investigate, reason, make connections and find different ways to solve problems. It has been fantastic to see students working collaboratively, sharing strategies and confidently explaining their thinking.

We have loved seeing the curiosity, creativity and perseverance students have shown as they explored each challenge. Most importantly, they have been reminded that there is often more than one way to solve a problem and that mistakes are an important part of learning.

It has been a fantastic celebration of both books and mathematical thinking at Westbreen!
