Spring has arrived, bringing warmer days, brighter mornings and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors! 🌼🌞
September is shaping up to be another busy and exciting month at Hamilton (Gray St) Primary School.

There is plenty more to look forward to as we move into September:

- 🏫 Last Day of Term 3 – Friday 18 September, with school finishing at 2:30pm
❤️ Legacy Week – Supporting a Worthwhile Cause
During Legacy Week, our school will be supporting Legacy, an organisation that provides vital support to families of veterans who have passed away or become incapacitated.
Legacy items will be available for students to purchase at school from:
📅 Monday 31 August – Friday 4 September
Legacy Merchandise Available
$20 Legacy Bears – Please contact the office if you would like your child to purchase a Legacy Bear
$5 Items Include: Pens, Rubber Wristbands, Keyrings, Magnet Clips and some badges
$2 Red Badges
If you would like your child to support this worthwhile cause, please send money to school with your child. Items $5 and under are available for purchasing from the Open Learning Area at recess.

🏊 Year 1 & 2 Swimming Program
Our Year 1 and 2 students will be participating in their swimming program from Monday 31st August to Friday 11th September.
Students will need to remember to bring:
- 🩱 Bathing/swimming costume
- 🏖️ Towel
- 🍎 Plenty of food and snacks
💧 Water bottle
Please make sure all belongings are clearly labelled. We hope our students have a fantastic time in the pool and enjoy developing their swimming skills! 🏊♀️🏊♂️
🏀 Year 4 Junior Hooptime Basketball
Our Year 4 students will be participating in Junior Hooptime Basketball on Tuesday 1st September.
Students are asked to:
- Wear their school sports uniform.
- Bring a water bottle and any food they may need for the day.
- Students will be transported by bus to and from HILAC.
We wish our Year 4 students all the best and hope they have a fantastic day on the court! 🏀
🏐 State Netball Championships
Congratulations to our school netball team, who were successful at the competition held on Wednesday 19th August! Their fantastic result has earned them a place at the State Netball Championships on Wednesday 2nd September at the State Netball Hockey Centre.
We wish our team the very best of luck and hope they have a fantastic day representing our school! 🏐🌟
🏀 Year 6 Junior Hooptime Basketball
Our Year 6 students are looking forward to taking part in Junior Hooptime Basketball on Friday 4th September.
Students will travel by bus to and from HILAC for the event.
Please remember:
- Students should wear their school sports uniform.
- Bring a water bottle and packed food for the day.
We wish our Year 6 students a fantastic day and hope they enjoy the opportunity to represent our school on the basketball court! 🏀
Footy Dress-Up Day – Last Day of Term 3
🏉 Friday 18 September – Last Day of Term 3! 🏉
Come along in your favourite footy colours or casual footy clothes and help us celebrate the final day of term!
💰 Gold coin donation for students wearing casual footy clothes.
📣 Assembly: 9:00am🏫 School finishes: 2:30pm
