As we move further into the term, our school has been buzzing with activities and more are on the horizon. Here’s a roundup of recent and upcoming events at Kismet Park Primary School:

 

Celebrating 100 Days of Prep!

On Tuesday, July 30th, our Prep students celebrated a major milestone—100 days at Kismet Park Primary! It was a vibrant day starting with a parade, morning tea with with preps and their buddies and a disco. Then followed with activities, bright colors, and fun. Thank you to all the parents/guardians and staff who participated in making this day memorable for our youngest learners.

 

 

 

Green and Gold Day Celebrated

On Friday, August 2nd, our Kismet Park community showed incredible spirit by wearing green and gold! It was a day dedicated to celebrating our community spirit and showcasing our school pride. The vibrant colors made it a cheerful and memorable day at Kismet Park!

 

 

Curriculum Day Today

Today, our teachers are engaged in a professional development session focused on Berry Street Education Model training. This initiative is designed to enhance our curriculum and teaching methods, emphasising strategies that support the emotional and social well-being of our students alongside their academic growth.

 

National Science Week

Next week, August 12th-15th, marks National Science Week. We are finalising plans for engaging activities that highlight the wonders of science. Stay tuned for more information on how we will be celebrating this important week.

 

ART SHOW UPDATE

We’re thrilled to share exciting details about our upcoming Art Show! All students will be taking their canvas artworks home post-show, showcasing the creativity they've poured into their projects.

 

Support Our Building Fund: We invite you to support facility improvements, specifically upgrading our school toilets, by making a tax-deductible donation to our Building Fund. Small business owners can also purchase their child’s artwork, benefiting from a tax deduction.

 

New Time! The Art Show is scheduled from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm.

  • Refreshments: Opt for light snacks or a sausage sizzle.

World Principals Day Appreciation

On Friday, August 2nd, we acknowledge World Principals Day. I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to my assistant principal, Louisa, for her dedicated leadership and steadfast commitment. Together, we continuously endeavor to enhance our school’s success. Thank you, Louisa, for your valuable contributions and for being such a reliable partner in our journey.

If you have younger children ready to start their journey at Kismet Park, now is the time to submit your enrolment forms. Ensuring your forms are submitted early will help us with planning and class allocations for the next school year.
