Dear Sacred Heart Community,

See I told you autumn had not left us. You just have to have faith! Thankyou to those who made it possible for us to have the most wonderful week of autumnal weather. James in 5/6 was wanting a three day weather treat for the senior camp and his prayers have been answered. Blue skies and warm sun to greet our campers for their senior excursion is a great way to start. And on Tuesday the Foundation to Year 2 students enjoyed brilliant sunshine as they enjoyed their first excursion together as a group at CERES in East Brunswick.

TOWARDS ZERO WASTE ~ CERES Excursion provides food for thought...

Last Tuesday the Foundation to Year 2 students  has a most wonderful excursion to CERES, where they were introduced to the notion of Zero Waste. All the R's were taught to them regarding the environmental choices we make each and every day, as individuals, as families, as schools. Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rot was the language used to get across the message of sustainability and a zero waste environment. I know our Sustainability Leader, Chloe David, has some great ideas around how we can get better as a school to reduce our waste. I look forward to some wonderful new initiatives at our school.

Thanks to all those parents, guardians, aunties, uncles and grandparents who were part of our Family Week celebrations. It was wonderful to see so many at school, spending time with their loved ones, culminating in our Friday afternoon liturgy. Each and every family at Sacred Heart makes us richer as a community, so thanks for being part of it all!
