Principal's Message

Mrs Anna Novak

Mother’s Day

It was wonderful to see so many mothers join us for our Mother’s Day Liturgy and breakfast Having so many of you present made the morning truly special and the sunshine over our community added an extra touch of warmth to the occasion.

A heartfelt thank you to Ms Stinson for coordinating the celebration and preparing the students so beautifully. Thank you also to Mrs Neeson for organising the thoughtful gifts for our mothers.

We are also deeply grateful to Caitlin Hannigan, who shared her journey of motherhood and the love she has for her mother and daughters. Her words were heartfelt and resonated with us all.

We extend a special thanks to our P & F President, Sean Sheridan and his dedicated team of helpers for providing the delicious hot breakfast, egg and bacon rolls and coffee cart.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this Mother’s Day celebration meaningful and memorable.

Staff Development Day – Mathematics Focus

On Friday 1 May our teachers participated in a dedicated Staff Development Day with a focus on strengthening mathematics teaching and learning across the school. Each stage team visited a different partner school to engage in professional dialogue and deepen their understanding of high-impact mathematics instruction.

The Mathematics Staff Development Day centred on:

  • Highly effective teaching of Geometric Measure, Two‑Dimensional Spatial Structure and Three‑Dimensional Spatial Structure

  • Designing non‑routine and application‑based problems that challenge students through B‑ and A‑level questions

  • Strengthening teachers’ content knowledge to support deeper conceptual understanding

  • Enhancing problem‑solving proficiency through rich, purposeful tasks

These sessions ensure our teachers continue to refine their practice so that every student experiences engaging, rigorous and meaningful mathematics learning. We thank our staff for their commitment to ongoing professional growth and for bringing this learning back into their classrooms to benefit all students.

Tell Them From Me (TTFM) – Partners in Learning Survey

Over the coming weeks, we will be inviting students, teachers and parents to share their experiences of our school through an online survey. Your voice plays an important role in shaping our school’s ongoing growth, and this feedback forms a valuable part of our whole‑school evaluation and planning process.
