Pittwater House is delighted to celebrate a truly impressive range of individual and team sporting achievements across recent weeks, with students excelling State and National levels.

 

Water Polo

Water Polo has been a standout, with several students achieving exceptional success on the national stage. Frankie (C7), represented the Sydney Breakers 14A team at the Australian Championships in Brisbane, securing a silver medal in a highly competitive field. Imogen (C7), also enjoyed outstanding results, with her team winning the State Championship before finishing an impressive 2nd in Australia at the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships. In addition, Mischa (C9), proudly represented the Tasmanian U16 State Team at the same national event, an excellent achievement competing against the country’s best.

 

Track and Field

Track and field continues to be an area of strength at Pittwater House, with multiple students competing at the Australian Athletics Championships. Frankie (C7) added to her success with a superb 6th place finish in the 1500m, achieving a personal best and finishing as the top NSW athlete. Oliver (G12) competed strongly in the U20 men’s 1500m, finishing just seconds outside his personal best, while Jaxon (G7) represented NSW in the hurdles. Max (G11) demonstrated impressive endurance and versatility, competing for NSW in both the 800m and 1500m events.

 

Cycling

In cycling, Indi (C9) delivered an outstanding performance at the Mountain Biking State Gravity Series in Thredbo, finishing 3rd in the U17 division.

 

Football and Volleyball

Representative honours have also been achieved across a range of team sports. Grace (C10) has been selected in the NSW U16 Football team to compete at the Emerging Matildas Tournament in Melbourne, while Sophie (C9) has earned selection in the NSW All Schools Volleyball team - an exceptional recognition of her ability and consistency.

 

Netball

In Netball, Ruby (C12) has achieved selection in the prestigious Australian U19 Netball Squad, highlighting her status as one of the nation’s leading young athletes in the sport.

 

Hockey

Hockey representation remains strong, with Rory (G11), Tobias (G10), Hannah (C12), and Liam (G8), selected through CIS to compete at the CIS U19 and U15 NSW All Schools Championships, reflecting his continued development and commitment.

 

These achievements reflect the depth of talent across the school and the commitment our students show to their sporting pursuits.
