Welcome Back to Term 4
For many of our students and staff, it barely felt like we had a break, with much of the first week spent representing the College at the Perth Royal Show.
I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to all students who participated in this year’s Royal Show. The outstanding results achieved across our beef, sheep, and pig sections are a credit to the dedication, knowledge, and hard work of everyone involved.
While ribbons and placings are always exciting, it is equally important to recognise the commitment our students have shown throughout the year in caring for, handling, and preparing their animals. You should all be incredibly proud of your efforts and the way you represented the College.
A special thank you must also go to the staff who gave their time over the long weekend and throughout the week to support our students and care for the livestock. This would not be possible without staff who go above and beyond to provide these opportunities for our young people.
Looking ahead, Term 4 is shaping up to be busy and exciting. Students and livestock will once again showcase their skills at several upcoming shows and events. Alongside these activities, our biggest celebration of the term is fast approaching as we prepare to farewell and celebrate our Year 12 students at the Graduation and Prize Day.
Behind the scenes, staff are working incredibly hard to finalise assessments, complete reporting requirements, and ensure every student has the best opportunity to finish the year successfully.
At the same time, considerable planning is underway to make the Graduation and Prize Day a memorable celebration for our Year 12 students and their families as they mark the end of their Harvey Ag journey.
There is certainly plenty to look forward to in the weeks ahead, and I would like to thank our students, staff, and families for the commitment and support that make our College community such a special place.
Take care and enjoy the term ahead; Christmas is just around the corner.
